Food Pantry continues to need personal hygiene items such as shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, bar soap, deodorant. Also as always need paper products such as paper towels, toilet paper. Thank you again for you continuous support of this worthy mission!

 MISSIONS UPDATE:

The Missions Committee would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this very challenging time. We plan on supporting In-Gathering this year with both school kits and hygiene kits.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO COLLECT POP CAN TABS! Joyce Hudson took our first box full to Ronald McDonald house in Iowa. Please also don’t forget the Buffalo Food Pantry! They are in need of hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and toilet paper). THANK YOU AGAIN FROM THE MISSIONS COMMITTEE!

As many of you know, our Missions Committee and other volunteers have made several beautiful prayer shawls. Each shawl itself has been prayed over and blessed. A prayer shawl can be worn as a comfort during an illness or recovery, after a loss during bereavement, in times of stress and as a ministering gift given to others. When our Missions Committee decided to create shawls, each individual crafter’s prayers were intertwined within the knitted or crocheted design, so anyone who receives a prayer shawl, and wears it around their shoulders, will feel wrapped in God’s comfort, love, healing, power and strength.

A prayer shawl is a very special gift, and if you would like to have one, or you know someone that is in need of one, please call Sandy Barclay (563) 424-0891, or call the church at (563) 284-6213. We are willing to meet you at the church and you can pick one out. We have lots of shawls to choose from. What a lovely way for you to share God’s love with someone.

We are going to support the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City by collecting pop tabs. Boxes will be placed in the church for you to put your tabs in. Little things like pop tabs can make a big difference! Help support families and children through our Pop Tab program by collecting and donating the aluminum tabs you pull to open soda, soup, and other cans. Our Pop Tab program is one of the most popular way to get kids involved in learning to help other and donating to charity.
